Robyn - know what you mean. We lived in Saudi Arabia and my husband insisted he knew "shortcuts" in the desert. Well...thank heavens we had a lot of water with us. lol AND a four-wheel drive too. Still enjoy this painting!

Robyn, we lived in Phoenix and saw so many of these. Brings back many fond memories. This is gorgeous - the colors and blending. Very well done. Chrisann, thank you for bringing this to our attention! :D
Robyn Saunders replied:
Thank you, this one was located way up in the mountains. We almost got stranded. After about 4 hours driving up the mountain, We thought maybe we should turn around before we run outta gas. Off roading in 4 wheel drive, it was fun.

Thank you, this is Stage 1 of the watercolor Cacti. This cacti was 30ft or more taller as I remember. I could not get over it. When I took the original photo, I did not even need to lay on the ground to get the angel.
Chrisann Ellis
This is Excellent. Great depth, detail and I like the angel of this. I tried painting a catcus and that went out the window.. Beautiful job!
