On April 23, 2014 Robyn will be undergoing her second noggin surgery to remove a failed prosthetic implant which was used to seal the hole in her skull from her first brain surgery. The failed implant has been creating numerous problems over the past year including an on and off spinal fluid leak. Since her pre-surgery MRI results came back with only slight tumor growth and is considered to be in a stable state since the last MRI in December, the surgeon is only going to remove the implant at this time. The neurosurgeon hopes that he will only need to use stomach fat to plug up the hole instead of having to use a new prosthetic implant. Robyn told the neurosurgeon to feel free to take as much stomach fat as he can, as he most certainly will do a better job than she would at removing it, and taking more would make her happy.

Even though Robyn is thinking very positively about this procedure it is still a difficult and stressful time, so your caring and support means the world...

Recently Robyn had an a total thyroidectomy to remove thyroid cancer. She is still battling brain tumor cells along with fighting cancer. This is her third major surgery of the year. Just only a couple of weeks ago, Robyn learned that she has a very rare and large macro size tumor at the brain stem.
